When should I clear my cookies and cache?

  • If you're having trouble logging into BraveGen.
  • If pages in BraveGen are running slowly, or if buttons or links aren't working.
  • If BraveGen isn't showing the latest information after you've saved or refreshed the page.
  • If you get an Error 500 message while using BraveGen.

Warning

Clearing your cookies and cache will log you out of other web services and files, so save any open files or web pages before you start. When you complete this process, restart your browser and log back into BraveGen.

Google Chrome (Web)

  1. If you have a PC, hold Ctrl + Shift + Delete on your keyboard.

    If you have a Mac, hold Command + Shift + Delete on your keyboard.

  2. Select 'Clear the following items from': the beginning of time.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Cached images and files.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Cookies and other site data.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.

Google Chrome (Android)

  1. Open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap the 3 dots icon, then tap Settings.
  3. Tap Privacy, then tap Clear browsing data.
  4. Tap Clear data from the, then choose a time period. To delete everything, select beginning of time.
  5. Select the information you want to remove.
  6. Tap Clear data.

Google Chrome (iOS)

  1. Open the Chrome app.
  2. Tap the 3 dots icon, then tap Settings.
  3. Tap Privacy, then tap Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Select the information you want to remove.
  5. Tap Clear Browsing Data, then tap again to confirm.

Internet Explorer

  1. Hold Ctrl + Shift + Delete on the keyboard.
  2. Click to clear the Preserve Favorites website data checkbox.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Temporary Internet files and website files.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Cookies and website data.
  5. Click Delete.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Hold Ctrl + Shift + Delete on the keyboard.
  2. Select the checkbox next to Cookies and saved website data.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Cached data and files.
  4. Click Clear.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. If you have a PC, hold Control + Shift + Delete on your keyboard.

    If you have a Mac, hold Command + Shift + Delete on your keyboard.

  2. Set Time range to clear to Everything.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Cookies.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Cache.
  5. Select the checkbox next to Active Logins.
  6. Click Clear Now.

Safari (Web)

  1. Click Safari in the upper left corner of the screen.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click Privacy.
  4. Select Remove all Website Data.
  5. Click Remove Now.

Safari (Mobile)

  1. Tap Settings, then tap Safari.
  2. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  3. Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.
